A Fresh Chapter in Our Story

Well, friends — it’s been quite a journey! 🌟 A lot has changed since we first started, and I wanted to take a moment to share a big update as we relaunch HandMadends. We’re moving forward with new energy, fresh ideas, and a renewed sense of purpose.

How It All Started

When we first launched HandMadends, we thrived during the COVID years by going live on Facebook. We connected with so many amazing people, shared laughs, stories, and handmade creations. That community became a lifeline — a space full of encouragement, creativity, and family.

But as life does, it brought some unexpected turns.

A Season of Change

In 2022, I had to step back to focus on my health and a major move. Around that same time, life threw some heavy challenges my way. Within a single year, I experienced the loss of several loved ones — my Dad, Grandma, Great Uncle, and Father-in-law. It was a period marked by profound loss, introspection, and healing.

And while I was finding my footing again, I learned that my rare form of cancer, Thymoma, had returned.

The Fight and the Comeback

In 2025, I went through four rounds of chemotherapy. I’m so thankful to say that I’m now stable. 🙏 I’ve shared parts of this journey over on my Instagram and TikTok, hoping to connect with others going through tough seasons. I want to remind everyone that creativity and hope can still thrive through life’s hardest moments.

These experiences have made me appreciate every stitch, every handmade piece, and every person who has supported HandMadends from the beginning.

Today, I’m back! I’ve been revisiting the site, sorting through our inventory, and realizing how much we’ve created over the years. From cozy knits and crochet items to unique handmade gifts, there’s so much to explore!
